Kshaar Black Salt is produced after making natural value additions to the Kshaar Lake Salt. The entire traditional process of its creation takes place in a controlled environment. The lake salt is mixed with Triphala (Amla, Baheda and Hirada) and Babul bark and fired in an earthen pot over upla (cowdung cakes) and charcoal for 24- 28 hours, at temperatures as high as 700–800 degree celsius.
