A fuel-bed using cow dung cakes and coal is prepared for the heating process.
A clay pot, filled with the Kshaar salt is kept on the fuel-bed. Before sealing the pot, Triphala (Amla, Baheda and Hirada) is added into it. It is then heated at a certain temperature for particular hours.
The clay pot is heated in 3 different time intervals.
Once the clay pot is cooled after the heating process, it is broken down. All the impurities are brushed off and finally, we have the Black salt.
